Newly Launched SARS-CoV-2 Variants BA.2.75 Antigens

 

As BA.5 is quickly becoming the dominant variant and driving the ‘Reinfection Wave’ around the world, a second variant, BA.2..75, has been detected in India and spread to more than 10 different countries. Although it is still unclear about its contagiousness, severity and ability of immune escape, experts have raised potential red flags according to previous research about some key mutations identified in BA.2.
