New recombinant antibody against Trim46New recombinant antibody against Trim46

The new recombinantly produced monoclonal Guinea pig antibody is specific for TRIM46. The tripartite motif containing protein TRIM46, also referred to as TRIFIC, is a member of the C-I TRIM family. TRIM46 is a prominent marker for the axon initial segment (AIS) in the adult brain. By forming closely spaced parallel microtubule bundles it plays a crucial role in the initial polarization of neuronal cells. The AIS, which separates the somatodendritic and axonal compartments (see Fig. 1), has a key role in neuronal physiology, as both the initiation site of action potentials and the gatekeeper of the axonal arborization.

Indirect immunostaining of PFA fixed rat cortex section with Guinea pig anti -TRIM 46 (cat. no. 377 308, dilution 1 : 2000, red) and rabbit anti-NeuN (cat. no. 266 008, dilution 1 : 500, green). Nuclei have been visualized by DAPI staining (blue).

New mouse E-cadherin antibody

This rabbit polyclonal antibody is specifically developed by our histology branch HistoSure for mouse E-cadherin (e.g., it does not recognize the human E-cadherin protein) and is superior for detection of murine E-cadherin in WB, IHC and IHC-P (FFPE) applications. Epithelial cadherin (E-cadherin) also known as Cadherin-1, CAM 120/80 or uvomorulin belongs together with neuronal (N) cadherin to the type I classical cadherins, transmembrane proteins that function in calcium-dependent cell-cell adhesion. E-cadherin is a potent tumor suppressor and the so-called “cadherin switch” - downregulation of E-cadherin while N-cadherin is upregulated - is often found in malignant epithelial cancers.

Indirect immunostaining of human and mouse duodenum section using mouse-specific rabbit polyclonal anti-E-cadherin (cat. no. HS-467 003, 1:200; DAB). The antibody is not cross-reacting with human E-cadherin. Nuclei have been visualized by haematoxylin staining (blue).

We would like to bring 2 more of our new products to your attention. First, the new recombinantly produced monoclonal SNAP25 antibody. SNAP 25 is part of the exocytotic fusion complex (v-SNARE) of neurons where it assembles with syntaxin 1 and synaptobrevin. It is abundantly localized on the neuronal plasmalemma and on recycling vesicles including synaptic vesicles.
And then the new Guinea pig polyclonal antibody against human NeuN, also called Fox-3/Rbfox3. This nuclear protein is expressed only in the nuclei of differentiated neurons and is thus a common marker for neuronal cells.
