Oxidative stress is widely recognized as an important factor in cancer development. Cancer cells show higher reactive oxygen species (ROS) levels as well as upregulated antioxidant activity. Oxidative stress promotes lipid peroxidation (LPO) which is one of the several degradation processes of lipids.
