A protein familiy with a bad reputation
Amyloid beta precursor like protein 1 and 2 (APLP1 and 2) and amyloid precursor protein (APP) belong to one protein family that all share considerable sequence homology in the amino- and carboxyl termini. APLP1 and APLP2 are processed by alpha-, beta-, and gamma-secretase like APP, but in contrast to APP, they do not contain the notorious Abeta motif. Both APLPs function as synaptic adhesion molecules (SAMs) and are involved in synaptogenesis. While APLP1 is expressed only in neuronal cells, APLP2 shows a more ubiquitous expression profile and recent data suggests that this protein also has a function in the immune response, glucose and insulin homeostasis, and cancer progression.
We have introduced excellent new KO-validated mouse monoclonal antibodies against APLP1 and APLP2.

Rat monoclonal antibody against murine FoxP3
The transcription factor FoxP3, also known as scurfin, belongs to the family of forkhead transcription factors and controls the differentiation and function of regulatory T-cells (Tregs). Expression of FoxP3 is induced by strong and persistent T cell receptor (TCR) signaling. Increasing evidence suggests that FoxP3 is expressed not only in Tregs, but also in a variety of tumor cells. The role of FoxP3 in tumor cells is not yet fully understood, as there is evidence for both a tumor-promoting and tumor-suppressing function.
This new antibody recognizes murine FoxP3 and, to a lesser extent, FoxP3 from rats, but not human FoxP3. It has been tested in IHC, IHC-P and IHC-fresh frozen applications and achieved outstanding results.
