Description

Blue Rayon is a specially developed rayon fiber (non-crystalline celluose) covalently bound to copper phthalocyanine trisulfonate, a blue dye. This dye has a strong affinity to polycyclic (having more than three rings) compounds. Thus, Blue Rayon acts as a selective adsorbent for polycyclic mutants. Blue Rayon has been utilized to concentrate and isolate polycyclic mutagens/carcinogens from crude sample such as foods, urines, and river/lake waters. Blue Rayon can be used by hanging or suspending it into, for example, water samples.

 

* Blue Rayon should be used only once. Repeated use cause contamination.
