Cyclopropyl scaffolds are widely utilized as building blocks in drug discovery due to their unique physicochemical properties (uncommon bonding and characteristic ring strain). Specifically, due to the unique effect of fluorine atoms on organic molecules, it has been discovered that the incorporation of two fluorine atoms into the cyclopropane ring can significantly improve the bioavailability, biological activities, metabolic stability and selectivity of the corresponding bioactive molecules.
