Opalin - a specific marker for myelinating oligodendrocytes

Opalin (oligodendrocyte myelin paranodal and inner loop protein), also called Tmem10, is a transmembrane glycoprotein detected specificallly in mammalian oligodendrocytes of the CNS where it promotes terminal differentiation. We are now offering a monoclonal mouse Opalin antibody with excellent results in ICC and IHC stainings.

New mouse monoclonal Neurofilament H antibody

Neurofilament H (NF-H) is part of the so-called "neurofilament triplet", consisting of neurofilament protein NF-L (low molecular weight, ~ 70 kDa; NF-L), NF-M (medium molecular weight, ~ 160 kDa; NF-M) and NF-H (high molecular weight, ~ 200 kDa; NF-H). The neurofilaments NF-L, NF-M and NF-H are highly enriched in axons and constitute main structural elements. . Mutations in the NF-H gene are associated with Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease.
Our new mouse monoclonal antibody shows superior results in WB, ICC, IHC and IHC-P (FFPE) applications, as already shown in several publications.

We have also introduced a new recombinantly produced monoclonal rabbit antibody specific for detyrosinated á-tubulin (Glu-tubulin) and polyglutamylated tubulin. In Glu-tubulin, the C-terminal tyrosine of a-tubulin is post-translationally removed by vasohibins, resulting in the exposure of a free glutamate at the newly formed C-terminus.

Last but not least we have added a new antibody against CD163, a member of the group B scavenger receptor cysteine-rich (SRCR) superfamily which is expressed on human and murine macrophages, to our HistoSure product line. CD163 is down-regulated by inflammatory stimuli making it an interesting target in immunology research. It is specific for human CD163 without cross-reactivity to murine CD163. This makes this antibody ideally suited for PDX research.
