DR1 Glass-forming derivative of azo dye Disperse Red 1 (DR1), used in non-linear optics (NLO) and for the formation of surface relief gratings (SRG) [1,2]. DR1 glass is also used for axonal dysfunction and degeneration studies [3].

Soluble in a wide range of solvents of different polarities.
