Introduction

In an effort to explore uncharted chemical and pharmacological space, the preparation of novel spirocyclic scaffolds has always been the subject of significant interest. 2-Azaspiro[3.3]heptane, which is more rigid and has a unique structure, is recognized as the bioisostere of piperidine. Recent research has showed that the introduction of 2-azaspiro[3.3]heptane could effectively reduce the cytotoxicity and greatly improve the selectivity index. So far, Chemscene has developed many 2-azaspiro[3.3]heptane building blocks.
