Caffeic acid 3-O-b-D-glucopyranoside has been shown to have antioxidant properties by increasing the mitochondrial membrane potential in erythrocytes and reducing free radicals. It also may have anticancer activity due to its ability to inhibit tumor growth in vivo studies.
